Venerable Mahinda is the founder and Spiritual Director of Aloka Foundation . He was ordained in 1976 under the tutelage of the late Venerable Dr K Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thera.  He undertook basic Buddhist studies and training in Sri Lanka and practical Buddhist meditation under several masters in Sri Lanka, India, Myammar and Thailand. He travelled to more than 30 countries to spread the peace message of the Buddha.

Venerable Mahinda has conducted the annual Novitiate Programme at the Buddhist Maha Vihara for 32 years. In 2007, he began conducting annual Novitiate Programmes in the Buddha's holy sites in India/Nepal. In addition to Novitiate Programmes, Venerable Mahinda, assisted by Sister Sumitra, has also been conducting meditation retreats in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Alokarama in Tampin District, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.ing monk, teacher and public speaker. Ajahn Jumnien Silsetso is the abbot and founder of Wat Tum Sua in Krabi, Thailand just outside of Krabi town toward the mountains. He is a Thai forest monk who was born in the southern part of Thailand on May 1, 1936. His earliest experience in meditation was at age five. He was also schooled at an early age in traditional healing and shamanistic practices. At age 20. he ordained as a monk, fulfulling his aspiration for lifelong practice in Buddhist meditation.
His immense experience in dhamma and meditation has gained him the respect of many from all all around the world.

Good news! Ajahn Brahmavamso, affectionately known as "Ajahn Brahm" will be conducting one-day Guided Meditation Session at Dhamma Hall of Wat Chetawan on 10/05/2011.

Ajahn Brahmavamso was born in London in 1951. After completing his degree at Cambridge University, UK and teaching for a year, he traveled to Thailand to become a monk. He was ordained in Bangkok at the age of 23 by the Abbot of Wat Saket. He subsequently spent nine years studying and training in the forest medition tradition of the late Venerable Ajahn Chah.
In 1983 he was asked to assist in the establishment of a forest monastery near Perth, Western Australia. Ajahn Brahmavamso is now the Abbot of Bodhinyana Monastery and the Spiritual Director of the Buddhist Society of Western Australia.
Ajahn Brahmavamso is an outstanding monk, teacher and public speaker. He is able to make the Buddha's teachings easy to understand, inspiring and even entertaining.
