President's note

posted Feb 10, 2019, 1:52 PM by Washington Lake Association   [ updated Feb 10, 2019, 1:54 PM ]

Washington Lake Association Members:

Although you could hardly tell from the weather outside today it won’t be long until another great season of swimming and boating on the lake will be with us.  Washington has experienced a pretty normal winter snow wise this year with the official amount to date of 70.75 inches.  March  always seems to be the killer snow month, so we shall see!  The lake is in great shape for the Washington Fire Department’s  Annual Ice Fishing Tournament this coming weekend on all legal ponds in Washington (Feb 16-17th.)  If you get the chance stop up for some fun times and hopefully some big fish.

Please find enclosed the attached PDF file "2019 WLA Membership Form".  Annual dues are again $75 and are due by April 1st.  Kindly print it out, fill it in with any new contact information, and mail to the address listed.  As has always been the case our budget planning is based on our current paid membership status so your prompt payment helps us plan accordingly for the year ahead.

Please mark your calendars as we will be holding a Beach and Picnic Area Cleanup day Saturday May 25th (9-11am, Memorial Day Weekend.)  The date of our Annual Meeting and hotdog roast this year is June 29, 2019.

I look forward to seeing everyone and enjoying another great summer season!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF OUR LAKE ASSOCIATION!

With Best Regards,
  John Butcher
  WLA President

Got Permits?

posted Aug 18, 2018, 11:40 AM by Washington Lake Association

Attached is a poster from the N.H. Department of Environmental Services that provides an overview of when permits from DES may be required for construction projects.  This is not an all inclusive list of permits required by the state or town.

Please review this list and also contact the Town of Washington before any work is started to avoid issues later on.

Deed restrictions exist for all properties within the Washington Lake Estates subdivision. See the document titled WLA Covenants in the Resource Center on the left. If you have any questions please contact a WLA board member.

If you have seen the news ticks seem to be flourishing this year.

Lyme disease is an ever present risk for those who enjoy the outdoors. Remember to protect your pets as well as yourself.
