The Sons of Confederate Veterans is the direct heir of the United Confederate Veterans, and the oldest hereditary organization for male descendants of Confederate soldiers.  SCV was first organized at Richmond, Virginia in 1896.

SCV history here in Washington started with the United Confederate Veterans John B. Gordon Camp 1456, formed June 2nd, 1902 in Seattle (shown here).  The SCV continues to serve as a historical, patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to ensuring that a true history of the 1861-1865 period is preserved.

Membership in the Sons of Confederate Veterans is open to all male descendants of any veteran who served honorably in the Confederate armed forces.

There are three Camps serving Washington state, two in Western Washington and one in Eastern Washington with almost 100 members.   If you are interested in joining contact any Camp Officer or this website administrator.
