Students’ interest in service is very important to the VAC. One of the ways the VAC has tried to do this is by having a service day during freshman orientation. This opportunity allows the students to get involved in service and also to meet new people as they are starting their college life.
American Red Cross Blood Drives
Twice a year the Volunteer Action Center teams up with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive. These blood drives give students, as well as faculty and staff, a chance to save a life by donating blood right on campus. The main goal of these blood drives is to capture those first-time givers and keep them coming back year after year.
