Welcome

The orchestra, now over 35 members strong, rehearses fortnightly on a Tuesday evening in Boniface Hall at Warminster School from 7.30pm-9.30pm with a tea and "gossip” break at half time.

Amanda Williams, conductor and founder of the orchestra says “We are a community orchestra and would like to encourage anybody thinking about picking up their instrument again to pop along. We also welcome people without any orchestral experience. We pride ourselves in not taking anything too seriously and just want to have fun playing together in a relaxed environment. The orchestra is not just for people in Warminster. Musicians travel from Bristol, Tisbury, Blandford and Melksham to be part of the group.”

We would like to invite musicians of all ages and skills to come and join us for a rehearsal evening. String players are especially welcome!

Listen to Amanda being interviewed about the orchestra on the Beeb.
