the Ward 8 Farmer's Market is pleased to present a special

Thanksgiving Market

Saturday, November 18

10 am to 2 pm

Behind Martin Luther King Elementary School, 3200 6th Street SE (at Alabama Avenue)

Stock up on vegetables for Turkey Day, including greens, sweet potatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, beets, squash, apples and more.

Enjoy a hot lunch from Tony Gunnz Loaded Grill and shop baked goods, cosmetics, fragrances and crafts from local entrepreneurs.

We accept cash, EBT/SNAP, WIC vouchers, and Senior FMNP vouchers. We'll even double the dollar value of all vouchers and EBT purchases.

Thanks for another great season

Sadly, Saturday, September 30 was our last regular market of the season.

We want to thank our may loyal customers, vendors, volunteers for making it a success.

Compared to 2016, our average weekly attendance rose from 100 to 130, and total sales rose from just over $15,000 to over $20,000.

The market will return on June 2, 2018, and we are already working to obtain support necessary to keep the market open until Thanksgiving next year.

In the meantime, you can catch our friends from Licking Creek Bend Farm at the

Adam’s Morgan Farmer’s Market
Corner of 18th Street and Columbia Road NW
Saturdays 8 am to 1 pm until December 20

Here in Ward 8, the Acadia Mobile Market makes six stops each week. Some locations run until the end of October, others through the end of November.  All will double the value of SNAP, WIC and Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program vouchers.
