Friedman Centenary


Friedman believed the Fed has a right to manage the economy and that government has a role in making markets operate fairly. But Friedman has been left out in the cold. 

It was his certainty — and the wit with which he delivered his message — that helped popularize his views. But the fact he did not adopt absolutist positions on the evils of government has made his true views irrelevant among the conservatives he used to lead.
