We are a group comprised of parents, family members, teachers, children and youth.  Our goal is to help Blind/Visually Impaired children grow up to be productive and independent members of society by providing practical information to their families.  The Washington POBC is a non-profit organization working to ensure the best possible future for blind youth by promoting blindness skills, fostering self-esteem, independence, and utilizing blind adult role models to build a solid foundation for a productive life.
The Washington POBC holds regional gathering events, monthly statewide conference calls, participates in the state NFB convention, and many other opportunities.

We strive to be an active group for families.  Please keep in content with us on either our Facebook page Washington State POBC or our Google+ page (currently under development).  This is an area where you can ask questions, share resources, for make contact with others in the group.  Please share the word.  Our division is closely connected to National Organization of Parents of Blind Children (NOPBC), National Federation of the Blind (NFB), and Washington State division of NFB.  Please find our affiliated contacts located on the column to the right.
