I received my Ph.D. in politics from New York University in 2009. Since then I have worked at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (2009-2015), the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (2015-2017), the University of Iowa (2018-2020), Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (2021-2023) , the University of Calgary (2023), and the Chinese University of Hong Kong --Shenzhen (2023-2025). I am currently a visiting scholar in the school of business at MacEwan University.
My research interests lie in comparative politics, international development, political economy, public policy, and quantitative methods.
