What is the future of funding for schools?

There are several warning signs about the future of Academy (Incl. "free" schools) funding and oversight issuing from the Department of Education:

Around 100 DfE staff are working on academy conversion.  If this is maintained, or increased, where will the other cuts come from?

The Department for Education has, on its website, a warning about the funding for academies:

"Because we consider the current system for funding Academies to be unsustainable, we are also publishing more detailed interim proposals for the funding of Academies alongside this consultation." http://www.education.gov.uk/schools/adminandfinance/financialmanagement/schoolsrevenuefunding/a0076651/consultation-on-school-funding-reform-rationale-and-principles)  this has now been removed from their website - wonder why?
Even more recently they have had to admit that there have been mistakes in the calculations of amounts to be paid to academies, leading to overpayments and the possibility that the academy trust may have to pay money back.
