2016 Military Unit Review & Parade

May, 2016 -  350th Kick-off  -- Military Parade -

The 350th Jubilee Celebration planning officially launched a very special Battalion Review in May, 2016. The First Company and the Second Company Governor's Foot Guards displayed full colors in the march from Moses Y. Beach Elementary School to the Post Office with the Wallingford Police and Fire Department Honor Guards. Led by Major Commandant Richard K. Greenalch, Jr. and \, the Guard's Fife and Drum and Marching Band performed enroute to the Review grandstand.

Wallingford 350 Military Review & Kick -off Event

The Schedule started with the units organizing at the Mose Y. Beach Elementary Schoo. The march included seven military units. Mayor Bill Dickinson extended an official welcome, followed with a dignitary review and salute. Captain Devaney called three guests forward for a special Commemoration of "Honorary National Guard Membership" to the Governor's Second Company Foot Guard of:

  • Robert Parisi, Jr. - Retired Council Chairman
  • Mary Fritz - Retired State Representative
  • Mayor William Dickinson

Gratitude extends to the Wallingford Elks for providing refreshments.
