Library Services and Policies

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30-3:45


Services
-Students may visit the library both before and after school and/or during conference period & lunch without a pass. During class time, a pass from a teacher is required. The library is closed during Early Out. Students may not be on campus at this time.
-The library provides: books; Internet access (school related research); textbooks (library use with ID); novels; magazines/newspapers (online and hard copy)and encyclopedias (online and hard copy)literary criticisms (online and hard copy).
-A copier/printer is available for student use.
-An audiovisual library of DVD and software titles is available for faculty checkout and student library use.

Tutoring
- Tutoring is now available
Monday: 3:30-5:00
Tuesday: 3:30-5:00
Wednesday: 2:30-4:00
Thursday: 3:30-5:00
NO FRIDAY TUTORING!

Check-out Policy
-Current student ID card must be presented.
-Maximum number of checkouts is 4 books for 3 weeks
-Fines must be paid before books are loaned .
-Reference books are overnight ($1.00 day late fee)
-Books due previous semester(s) are $3.00 per title
-Magazines are for library use only
-Book Drop is located at the end of the circulation desk
-Students who loose a book will be accessed a replacement fee for that book.

Students New to WGHS
-Freshman library orientation is given the first few weeks of school
-New students receive an information packet regarding library services and computer log on instructions

Being Respectful and Responsible
-Be considerate of others and resources
-Be seated working quietly
-NO food or drinks other than water is allowed
-Use cell phones with respect to others
-Use iPods, MP3 players with respect to others (earphones)
-4-6 people at a table
-Computers are for school related use only and are electronically monitored
-There are 6 available computers for gaming. Multi-use and flash drives for the purpose of gaming are not permitted.  All other computers must be available for academic work.
