Wilfried Kouamé is currently an Economist in the Macroeconomics, Trade and Investment Global Practice of the World Bank Group, where he is working on various development policy operations as well as macro fiscal and growth analysis in West and Central Africa.

Wilfried joined the World Bank in 2016 as a Summer Intern (World Bank Summer Internship Program) and was research fellow at the World Bank Office of Chief Economist for Africa, where he contributed to different reports and research projects. Moreover, Wilfried held lecturer positions both at HEC Montreal and Sherbrooke University in Canada.

Wilfried completed a Ph.D. in Development Economics from Sherbrooke University in Canada and a Master degree from CERDI. Wilfried research focuses on a range of issues related to productivity, structural reforms, domestic resources mobilization, and fiscal adjustment.
