Ascend this 417m peak taking about 2 hours then loop past two small waterfalls back to the start. Then enjoy a swim in the Pelorus River and an ice cream back at the café.

Starveall Hut

From the Hacket Picnic Area, go beyond Hacket Hut with several creek crossings before climbing to Pyramid Rock and onward to Starveall Hut (6-bunks, $5 hut ticket), taking about 5 hours. Carry a tent.

Croesus Track

Paparoa Range

 28-30 January 2017 - Anniversary weekend


Saturday travel to Barrytown, day walks in the vicinity, camp at Jill Sheppard’s place. Sunday travel around to Blackball then walk 4-5 hours to Ces Clark Hut (16-bunks, $15 hut ticket). Monday traverse Croesus Knob and Mt Ryall (1220m) and down to Barrytown taking 5-6 hours.
