The Western Albemarle High School (WAHS) Robotics Club was founded in 2011.
The club has thirty students, who are split up into three teams, that meet regularly on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays after school to build, program, and test robots to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge.  Currently, the club is in its 7th season. Off-season, students participate in prototyping, workshops and outreach events to promote science, technology, engineering and math in the community.
