Patrice Robin is an economy teacher at the Agricultural High School of
Theza near Perpignan, South of France. He has followed our 2 days training
in February 2011. He has succesfully used INI-WAG with his students to
foster discussions in a course about sustainable developement. In late
2011 he went a step further and developped his own WAG application on
the case study of the Têt river valley. The stakes tackled by this WAG
application are around collective irrigation development vs individual
irrigation practices, as well as aquifer usage and recharge. Patrice made a very instructive video during the WAG-Tet session he held with his student in december 2011. It shows a very good example of a pedagogical use of WAG : students had to experience individual irrigation, implement (or not) restrictions from authorities, and finally design and test collective irrigation schemes with the help of expert teachers. The video is in french. For more information and another video showing the INI-WAG session of April 2011 at Theza, check Theza's high school website (in french) |
