Monday 16th October 2017 - We held our Annual General Meeting. Sue B stepped down from the Committee and was thanked for what she had done
over the past 2 years. We were pleased to welcome to the Committee
Angela and Cherie.
The expenses for this evening were donated by David and Gill S in celebration of their Golden Wedding Anniversary. The members enjoyed cupcakes supplied
by David and Gill, drank a toast to the happy couple and presented them
with some flowers and a card signed by everyone. (David is recovering from
eye surgery and this is the reason for the dark glasses)

Monday 23rd October 2017 -
Another opportunity for a party as we celebrated the Diamond Wedding Anniversary of our members Pam and Dave Riddick. Pam and Dave kindly supplied all the food for a finger buffet following which we all raised a glass to them, presented them with a card signed by all the members and a basket of flowers (thanks again to Sue W).
Joining us for the evening were our former members Joan and Tony T, Molly S, Pat F together with Kay M who has not been able to come to Club for some time - they were all made very welcome as they joined in the celebrations. At the end of the evening Dave took to the stage and performed a singing call duet of "He'll have to go" with Simon.

Saturday 28th October 2017 -
Fifteen members went to Cuffley SDC's Annual Dance in Northaw and had a great evening dancing to
Eddie James.

Monday 20th November 2017 - in celebration of H.M. The Queen and H.R.H. The Duke of Edinburgh's Platinum (70th) Wedding Anniversary we held a "Royal" themed evening. Members dressed for the occasion and some brought along their own wedding photos. During the break Committee members who recently took part in an "Emergency Life Support Skills" course were presented with their certificates. For more pictures of our "Royal" themed evening see page "Themed Night 20 November 2017".

Sunday 3rd December 2017 -
Two club members, Janet and David, together with our caller, Andrew, went to the London and Home Counties Regional Callers Assembly Christmas Tea Dance in Hemel Hempstead and had a great afternoon dancing Mainstream to Granville Spencer with a guest tip from Paul Bedall. Simon and Trudy were also there, selling pre-loved Square Dance clothes to raise funds for caller training in the U.K. (Photo courtesy of Michael Ginger)

Monday 4th December 2017 - We were pleased to invite potential dancers to our free admission Christmas Themed Hoedown and had a lovely evening dancing with them to Simon, Trudy and Andrew. There was a raffle and mince pies were served with the teas and coffees during the break.

Monday 11th December 2017 - due to the wintry conditions the decision was taken to cancel club this evening.

Monday 18th December 2017 -
We held our Christmas Party which, along with mince pies and winter berry punch, included fundraising for the charity REMAP. We were also pleased to have the opportunity to celebrate the birthday of our member, Pam Riddick, who was 80 today. Trudy presented Pam with a bouquet of flowers and a card signed by all the members.
For more about our fundraising and photos of the evening see page "Charity Fundraising for Remap".
