Definition of CTE

Career and Technical Education is a planned program of courses and learning experiences that begins with exploration of career options supports basic academic and life skills, enables achievement of high academic standards, leadership, preparation for industry-defined work,  and advanced and continuing education.


WAVA provides leadership to enhance and support Career and Technical Education in communities and schools.

WAVA's primary interest is to serve Career & Technical Education directors and administrators and we believe that WAVA will enable each member to achieve the professional expertise and knowledge to;
