The Traveling Tripp's Travel Log
We go where ever the wind blows!
Here we are with a big iguana at Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Both my wife and I were born into traveling families, like modern day gypsies, but we had to wait until I retired to be able to make our traveling ancestry proud. Since then we have traveled the world, mostly on cruise ships, but also via air, railroad and on the highways around the USA in our 5th wheel camper and big tow rig.
This is Big Boy hauling our 35' Alfa 5th wheel camper
So far we have visited most of the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska, South America, Central America (including the Panama Canal), North Africa, the Mediterranean Sea, all over Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, and lots of Pacific islands such as Tahiti, Bora Bora, Morea, Fanning Islands, Tasmania, plus all around South East Asia and the good ol' USA. Of the 50 states we have visited all but 3 of them, and they are all in the New England area of the North East and include Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. We seem to have a hard time getting into that region for some reason! We have traveled every east-west Interstate Highway except I-10, which runs along the southern boundary of the US. It is just too hot down there for people who live on the cool central coast of California!
In this travel log I hope to keep you updated on our most recent trip(s) so you can enjoy our travels vicariously. I am an avid photographer so these pages will be filled with "what we did on our summer vacation" type of photos. I love taking pictures of scenery, but my wife INSISTS that any photo MUST have a person in the foreground. As an example of my lust for shooting gobs of photos, my two year old digital camera has over 8000 pictures taken on it so far! That is an average of 333 photos per month, so be prepared.

The trip itinerary included ports of call at Avalon, Catalina Island, CA, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Acapulco, Mexico, Huatulco, Mexico, Puerto Chiapas, Mexico, 2-days cruising inside the Panama Canal and anchoring overnight in Gautun Lake, Panama, Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, Corinto, Nicaragua, Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, Mazatlan, Mexico and finally back to the home port of Long Beach, CA.
