I am currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Natural Sciences, University of California, Merced, USA. Prior to this appointment I was a PhD fellowship at the Department of Mathematics, University of Innsbruck in Austria. I obtained my BSc degree in mathematics from Hanoi National University of Education on June 2005, and my MSc degree in Computational Mathematics from Vietnam National University (VNU) on November 2007. For the period from January 2008 to October 2010, I worked at Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) as an assistant researcher while holding an invited lecturer positon at the Genetic Bach Khoa international program-one of the partners of the Genetic Computer School, Singapore at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), and at Hanoi University of Industry (HUI). Since fall 2010, I had been selected as a PhD candidate employed by the University of Innsbruck. From March to August 2013, I was a visiting guest at the Numerical Analysis Group, Institute for Applied and Numerical Mathematics, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. I received my PhD degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Innsbruck in 2014.
