About the Vizsla

The Vizsla dog is known for their athleticism, affection and gentle soul.  The nickname, "Velcro Vizsla" derives from the trait that they will stick to you like Velcro; always wanting to be by your side. They have a slick golden-rust coat, with no under coat and lovely brown/amber eyes.   They are light-footed with a lean body build, the ultimate companion for an outdoorsy person.   You fall in love with their long, velveteen ears and quirky, yet sincere facial expressions!  Vizslas form a tight bond with their people and will work hard for them, whatever the goal.

"As athletes of many talents, Vizslas excel at various sports and activities. They are eager and graceful trotters of great stamina, making them ideal jogging or biking companions. An expert on the breed tells us, 'If you don’t have the time to encourage this breed’s full use of its brain, you’re wasting a good dog.'  "
