There is a significant but very fine difference between information, knowledge and wisdom.
Information is like looking at a door and knowing what lies beyond. Knowledge is when one opens the door and knows for real what actually lies beyond and when you step across the threshold and transit to the next level, that becomes wisdom.

In today’s era of the internet and very effective search engines, information is easy to come by and therefore is actually worthless in most cases. Information when understood and internalised becomes knowledge. This may sound very simple, but it is not. The most important and also quite a difficult transition to make is from knowledge towards wisdom. Hands-on experience is the best teacher and as one wise man told, a degree from the “University of Hard Knocks” has the most value.
