1.      The information posted on VPERCCS, including but not limited to that on the service type, agency/home, target, number of vacancies, anticipated vacancies and the location of agency/home (“Information”), is provided by the operators (“Operators”) of residential child care homes (“Homes”) for general reference only and is not intended to be relied upon.  

2.      No statement, representation or warranty (express or implied), is given by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“Government”) as to the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the Information or whether the Information is appropriate for use in any particular circumstances. The Government shall not be liable for any errors, omissions, misstatements or misrepresentations (express or implied), or delays concerning any Information, and shall not have or accept any liability, obligation or responsibility whatsoever for any loss, destruction or damage (including without limitation consequential loss, destruction or damage) howsoever arising from or in relation to using, misusing, inability to use, or relying on the Information.  For the avoidance of doubt, the Government shall not be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the Information, and shall not be responsible for rectifying, either by itself or by procuring the relevant Operators to rectify, any errors, omissions, misstatements or misrepresentations (express or implied), or remedy any delays concerning any Information on VPERCCS, even if the Government is aware of such errors, omissions, misstatements, misrepresentations or delays concerning the Information.

3.      The Government shall not be responsible for doing anything with respect to VPERCCS other than providing VPERCCS as a platform for the Operators to upload the Information and for users to have access to the Information. The Government shall not be responsible for making enquiries with or requests to or otherwise communicating with the Operators on behalf of users of VPERCCS or vice versa.  Nor shall the Government be under any obligation whatsoever to allocate or procure the allocation of a child to any Homes or to provide any care or assistance in any form to a child or the parents or guardians thereof notwithstanding that the Information or part thereof indicates or suggests that there is vacancy in or availability of any Homes. 

4.      When acting upon the Information, users of VPERCCS should make their own assessment of the Information and verify the Information by contacting the relevant Operators either by themselves or through social workers or related referring workers.

5.      The Government does not warrant or represent that VPERCCS is free of computer viruses. The Government shall not be liable for any loss, destruction or damage arising out of or in relation to the use of VPERCCS.

6.      VPERCCS may provide or assist in providing links to third-party websites.  Provision of, or assistance in providing, links to third-party websites does not give rise to any statement, representation or warranty (express or implied) that the Government agrees with, approves or endorses the contents of any such third-party websites. The Government shall not have or accept any liability, obligation or responsibility whatsoever for any loss, destruction or damage (including without limitation consequential loss, destruction or damage) howsoever arising from or in respect of using, misusing, inability to use, or relying on such third-party websites.  Users should refer to the terms and conditions governing the use of individual third-party websites.  A user shall be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions provided in this Disclaimer, VPERCCS and third-party websites when the user uses information or other materials on those third-party websites.  Permission has to be obtained from third-party owners for the use of information or other materials on those websites.
