Stratford-upon-Avon

Voyages & Images, a phtographic guide

The birthplace of Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon, attracts many tourists interested to know the historical references linked to the the most famous writer and author of England.

Stratford-upon-Avon was the seventh city of an itinerary made in the United Kingdom in June 2008. The center of the city is small and most of the historical places related to Shakespeare can be reached on foot.

The house where Shakespeare was born and lived in till this youth (images below) was built in the beginning of the 16th century and it is visited by more than 600,000 people annually. There we can see well preserved rooms like the bedroom where the writer was probably born and a fully equipped kitchen of the period.

Around the historical center there are many buildings from the 16th and 17th centuries, forming a peculiar architectural style, as can be seen in the four images below.

The typical constructions of Stratford-upon-Avon are excellent subjects for capturing great images.
