Querying Archives: death to web forms?

posted Apr 20, 2011, 11:48 AM by August Muench
Have you ever noticed that data archives use uniformly complicated web forms for enabling searches of their data? Do you use all that functionality?  And have you ever wondered if there were a way to make these often disparate web forms more uniform or easier to utilize?

For our next group meeting I will lead us through how to use a couple of the most frequently used archive query forms, pointing out often overlooked functionality.  I'll then show you a few example tools that homogenize these interfaces and I hope  to get your feedback on them.
