To provide visits to individuals in our community who are isolated and lonely. Volunteers should be well adjusted in their personal lives; should have the availability of time; be 18 years of age or older; be a licensed, registered driver and have access to their own vehicle; be of good physical and emotional health; must attend training classes to obtain VVA certification and attend ongoing enrichment programs. To be a Volunteer Visitor, you should be able to listen more than you speak. It is important that people who are lonely and don’t get the opportunity for much conversation are heard. Listen with an open heart to their pain, fears, memories and hopes for their future. Simply, be a comfort to those in need of company.

If you feel you meet the above requirements and have a heartfelt desire to become a VVA visitor, please email inquiries to:  volunteervisitorsassoc@gmail.com
