My name is Matthew Aguirre and I am a graduate assistant at the Center for Student Cultural Diversity. I am currently looking into if anyone is planning a workshop for undergrads about graduate school or knows about any that will be happening in the near future? If so please let me know so I can relay this to our students here at the center. Also if you would like to give any of these presentations/workshops to our students here at the Center let me know so we can set a time and date. Thank you for your time in this matter.
Center for Student Cultural Diversity
I'm an Instructor in the UNR College of Ed. and I also work for HLSL Institute (international education).
I am interviewing volunteers for a short teaching internship position.
Internship responsibilities include:
-Teaching English to (1-3) South Korean young ladies for 5 weeks ().
- Lessons will be held twice a week for 1.5 hours at UNR on Mondays and Wednesdays sometime between. (TBA)
It will be a great teaching and diversity experience. In addition, volunteers may apply this professional development opportunity to their resume/CV as an internship under my supervision.
Please have interested members contact me to schedule an interview this week or next.
I am accepting only two volunteers who will teach together for this short fall project. *Knowing the Korean language is preferred.
