DIIGO: "How to" Guide & Resources

KEEP IN MIND THE FOLLOWING WHEN EXPLORING THE DIIGO RESOURCES!
  1. As you explore DIIGO, make sure you are logged into your DIIGO account. If you are not logged in you will not be able to view the bookmarks, highlights, and annotations that exist all over the web.
  2. If a DIIGO feature looks different in a video tutorial or screenshot, remember the following:
    •  DIIGO works in various browsers (Safari, Google Chrome, FireFox, IE, etc.) and may "appear" different depending on the browser.
    •  There are different versions of DIIGO. The latest version of DIIGO is V5 (version 5).

The most important feature to familiarize yourself with is the DIIGO toolbar. The following link http://help.diigo.com/how-to-guide will direct you to the location of multimedia instructions on how to use the DIIGO toolbar to annotate and bookmark. Below, I have provided a screenshot of this webpage.  The red box with an arrow indicate the links to webpages that will explain each feature of the DIIGO toolbar.

  • The DIIGO creators have provided tutorials for researching, sharing, and collaborating. These tutorials are a great place to start in getting to know the general features of DIIGO.  http://www.diigo.com/learn_more
  • I recommend joining some of the DIIGO groups that share resources on education. The following link http://groups.diigo.com/browse?cg_id=16 will provide you with several DIIGO groups you can request to join to expand your personal learning network.

Below you will find several video tutorials on the various features of DIIGO.
