If you're an adult auditioning for the Sherwood Chorale, please bring a prepared solo, your own music, and if possible, your own accompanist. You should choose a song that represents your vocal abilities well, and is in choral style, not pop music style.  We're looking for singers that blend well, have accurate intonations and rhythm, and can read music. In addition, you'll be asked to sing some vocal exercises, including a major scale pattern.  Please remember, we're all doing this to enjoy the arts and have some fun, so we'll do everything we can to make you feel at ease during your audition. Really... we don't bite!

If you're a child auditioning for the Children's Choir or other choirs, please come prepared to sing the first verse of "My Country 'Tis of Thee", match some random pitches, and sing a few simple scales.  Students will be auditioning in groups, and will not be asked to sing by themselves.

There are limited openings for our concerts, so we'll be asking some of those that audition to be on our call back list as alternates.  So breath, relax, and come enjoy sharing some great music.

Please e-mail Cindy Christensen at voicesfortheperformingarts@gmail.com  if you have additional questions.
