Travel to/from the Conference

Airport: If traveling by air to the conference, you will no doubt be arriving at the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). For information on the airport, see the ATL website: http://www.atlanta-airport.com/

Ground Transportation:

  • Expect a cab ride from the airport to the hotel to take around 20 minutes during non-peak times and significantly longer during the morning or afternoon rush.
  • A much cheaper and more convenient option is to take MARTA to the hotel. MARTA (Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) provides rapid rail service to/from the Atlanta Airport. To get to the hotel, take the North Line to the North Avenue Station (4 blocks from the hotel) or to the Midtown Station (5 blocks from the hotel).
  • Atlanta’s Super Shuttle Service offers shuttles to/from hotel & airport @ $18.50 per person, per trip. To arrange for pickup, please call (800) BLUE VAN / (800-258-3826) or 404-410-1290 or visit their website at http://www.supershuttle.com/locations/atlairportshuttleatlanta.aspx.
  • For getting around the Georgia Tech campus area, there's the Tech Trolley. It provides service between the Institute’s Transit Hub on Ferst Drive and the Midtown MARTA Station on 10th Street. It stops at many locations throughout campus and Midtown along the way, including a stop on 5th Street, beside the hotel. For more information, see: https://pts.gatech.edu/subsite2/Pages/Tech%20Trolley%20and%20Midnight%20Rambler.aspx.
