Property Grid Control:

 

The article is mainly to show how to use the PropertyGrid control in WinForms. Using this PropertyGrid control, we can change the property of other controls while at runtime.

This article is to give a simple example in C# showing how easy it is to use the PropertyGrid control in WinForms. This is developed using Visual Studio .NET final release. PropertyGrid provides a user interface for browsing the properties of an object.

 Folder, Drive and Directory Browser:

 

The article is mainly for beginners of .NET WinForms programming. Recently, I heard that quite a few people have questions on developing the folder and file dialog boxes. Actually, it is a simple and easy one. This article is to give a simple example in VB.NET as well as in C# showing that how easy it is to create a custom drive list Box, directory list box and a file list box. This is developed using Visual Studio .NET final release.

Calling the Open With dialog box from your application, using C#:

 

This article is to introduce shell programming with C# for beginners in .NET. The Shell namespace organizes the file system and other objects managed by the Shell into a single tree-structured hierarchy. Conceptually, the Shell namespace is essentially a larger and more inclusive version of the file system. The Shell namespace objects include file system folders and files, along with "virtual" objects, such as the Recycle Bin and Printers folders. One of the primary responsibilities of the Shell is managing and providing access to the wide variety of objects that make up the system. Here, I have created a sample for demonstrating how to call the Open with dialog box in your Windows system.
