The Visualization Hub
The intent of the Visualization Hub is to link students to faculty resources in visualization across colleges and schools on campus.  While clear differences in the nature of data, intended use and target audiences exist across disciplines and contexts of design - many fundamentally common threads exist and inform best practices.  At the core is the desire to ensure clarity of depiction, specific to the audience targeted, data and phenomena of interest.  Critically rationalized and intelligent design must always serve as a starting point for strong visualizations.  Nevertheless an awareness of existing tools and example applications of their use can be invaluable in guiding execution and may inspire new perspectives for both the analyst as well as their target audience.

Through this site researchers, students and practitioners will find a range of examples as well as lessons regarding fundamental techniques.  Links to visualization tools available or broadly accessible are also provided.
