I am a robotics researcher with expertise in Bio-inspired Robotics, Soft Robotics. Inertial Sensing, Optimal Estimation, Tensegrity Mechanisms and Sensor Fusion.

I am an assistant professor in Mechanical Engineering at 
University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and director of the Agile Robotics Lab at UA (http://arl.ua.edu). I completed my postdoctoral research at the Neuromechanics and Biomimetic Devices Laboratory (BDL), Tufts University with Prof. Barry Trimmer and my PhD under Prof. Carl Crane at the Center for Intelligent Machines and Robotics (CIMAR), University of Florida.

Currently, I work on design and control of soft and agile robots capable of locomotion in semi-structured and unstructured environments.
