This event is where we start our wine preparation for the year. At this great celebrations is where we choose our Champions.
It happens in the fall every year, usually around the end of September.
A wonderful feast is prepared and set out so we can enjoy the flavor of the Middle Ages as well.
Vinfest is Sept 21 - 23, 2011 this past year.
The Autocrat this year is Archos Deicyn Moel.

***Friday September 21***
Site opens at 7:00 pm with meet and greet. Snacks will be available in the hall.
***Saturday Sept 22***
Gold Key available
Breakfast in hall: 7:00 am – 9:30 am. $4:00 Pancakes, Bacon, Fruit and assorted beverages.
Youth Combat 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Location – small clearing west of hall
A&S Competition 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Location - hall
Archery: IKAC/Royal Rounds 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Location – archery range east of outdoor stage along paved trail. Five minute walk.
Rapier Inspection 9:00 am – 9:30 am. Location – South of hall in old archery range site.
Rapier Tournament 9:30 am – 12:00 am. Location – South of hall in old archery range site. Pick-ups to follow
Lunch 12:00 am – 1:00 am: $4:00. Choice of ham/cheese or roast beef bunwiches, Cookies and a beverage.
Target Archery Competition 12:00 pm – 2:30 pm. Location - archery range east of outdoor stage along paved trail.
Combat Archery to follow.
Archery: Royal Rounds and other fun will continue after the CA is done until 5:00 pm at the new archery range site.
Heavy Inspection 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm. South of hall in old archery range site.
Heavy Competition 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. South of hall in old archery range site. Pick-ups to follow
Grape Stomp 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm. Front of hall on paved area.
Merchants evacuate hall 5:30 pm.
Setup & sit down for Feast 6:00 pm.
Feast served 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm.
Beef, barley and vegetable soup; green salad from the Serf’s garden; trenchered bread, cheese and grape berries; ham with assorted root vegetables and potatoes; and for the final remove, white cake with berries and cream coupled with ginger bread. Truly the best Vinjar has to offer this season!
Court at 8:30 pm. Location – outdoor stage depending on the weather.
Clean-up in the morning.
Site closes at 11:00 am.
Please note: Vinjar championships are open to any member of the populace at large. One of the conditions of winning is proof of an SCA membership. The other conditions will be determined by last year’s champions and discussed during “the rules of play” introduction at the beginning of each competition.
