NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a meeting of the Chairman and Board of Trustees of the Village of Roca, Nebraska will be held at 7:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2015 at the Roca Community Center, which meeting will be open to the public. A full agenda for such meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the office of the Village Clerk.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, November 9, 2015 in the Roca Community Center the Roca Village Board will hold a public hearing concerning an application to the Nebraska Department of Economic Development for a Community Development Block Grant. This grant is available to local governments for community/ economic development activities.
The Roca Village Board is requesting $25,450 for the Roca Comprehensive Plan Update. Specifically, the village is requesting $23,850 to update the comprehensive plan, pursuant to Nebraska State Statutes—6030 Planning; and $1,600 for general administration activities—0181 General Administration.
A grant application for $10,100 will be submitted to the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority (NIFA) Housing Study Grant program by the village’s planning commission to secure the required matching funds. Planning costs will total $35,550.
Over 53.33% of requested CDBG funds will benefit low-and moderate-income residents of Roca. No displacement will occur as a result of CDBG-related activities.
The grant application will be available for public inspection at the Roca Village Clerk’s Office. All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant application. Written and oral testimony will also be accepted at the public hearing scheduled for 7:00 pm, Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Roca Community Center, 15545 B Street, Roca, NE 68430. Written comments addressed to Sarah Patras at PO Box 69, Roca, NE 68430 will be accepted if received on or before November 6, 2015.
