I am an Assistant Professor of Information and Decision Sciences in the College of Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I obtained my PhD in EECS from UC Berkeley in 2015. From 2015-2017, I was a postdoc in the Social Algorithms lab at the Management Science and Engineering Dept. of Stanford University. Here is my CV .
I am broadly interested in market design, game theory, and learning in sequential decision-making (aka online learning). My current interests focus on algorithmic research at various intersections of pricing, matching, learning, and reputation in online markets and service platforms.
I have worked on i) developing matching algorithms for service platforms that learn the skills of new workers in order to match them to the right jobs, ii) designing mechanisms that incentivize truthful behavior in reputation systems, and iii) developing simple algorithms for crowdsourced democratic decision-making in complex domains like deciding the national budget, tax brackets, etc.
I teach Revenue Management and Service Operations Management courses at UIC's Liautaud Graduate School of Business.
