           VAPW Receives Wells Fargo grant

            VAPW is proud to receive our first support from Wells Fargo. The corporate grant will go to fund the 2019 scholarship campaign. Scholarships 
            are granted to high achieving students in the community to assist in academic advancement. Thank you Wells Fargo for your support in the
            organization.





VAPW Welcomes New Board Member

HaNhi L. Tran currently serves as a Deputy District Attorney for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Harvard University in 2006 and her Law Degree from UCLA in 2010. HaNhi joined the District Attorney’s Office in 2012, where she has worked on the the Major Narcotics Vendor Prosecution Unit, Family Violence Unit, and the Community Prosecution Unit. In 2017, HaNhi was presented with the George W. Kennedy Excellence in Prosecution Award from the San Jose Police Department. Prior to joining the District Attorney’s Office, HaNhi served as a C.V. Starr Lecturer of Law at Peking University School of Transnational Law, in Shenzhen, China. She grew up in the Little Saigon community in Orange County, California. 






Evelynn Tran Named VTA General Counsel

This year, HP received an unprecedented number of applications from 14 countries seeking support from non-profit organizations. After several board reviews and evaluation of each organization, the Vietnamese-American Professional Women’s Association of Silicon Valley is proud to have been selected as a recipient of HP’s Charity Grant. HP supports our mission of mentoring high school students and developing professional women. We would like to express our sincere thanks to HP, Inc. for putting their trust in the organization.

VAPW Participates in HP Annual Charity Fair at Corporate Offices, Palo Alto

VAPW along with 30 non-profit organizations came together at HP Corporate Offices in Palo Alto to showcase philanthropy at its finest. Cindy Vu, VAPW VP, represented the organization and shared our vision and mission to HP employees. The event supports the HP Foundation’s mission of creating programs that make life better for people in underserved and underrepresented communities by providing technology-related learning experiences and opportunities. VAPW is honored to be invited to the event to spread our purpose.





Vietnamese-American Professional Women is Proud Recipient of HP, Inc. Charity Grant

The VAPW of Silicon Valley is proud to be the recipient of the 2017 HP Incorporate Charity Grant. HP’s annual 40 Days of Doing Good Campaign identified VAPW as a notable recipient of HP’s grant. This grant will enable VAPW to further our mission and fund future programs such as the Mentoring program. Through Silicon Valley Community Foundation, a comprehensive center for philanthropy, HP is making our region a better place for all. We would like to thank HP for the financial support and HP volunteers support of events and programs.
