VU Judo is open to all past and present VU students, staff and friends. VU Judo Club is a non-political, non-religious and non-sectarian sports club. The Chief Instructor is Ingrid Wilby, a 5th Dan Black Belt with national and international credentials. Sensei Wilby is an experienced and dedicated instructor and able to assist both new and experienced students of all levels of ability.
VU Judo operates in partnership with the St Albans Judo Club and the City of Brimbank. The VU Judo Club is generously hosted by St Albans Judo Club; training is in conjunction with their members at their dojo. The training venue is St Albans Community Youth Club, 309a Main Rd, St Albans (next to Safeway & close to the St Albans Railway Station and the VU St Albans Campus). The facility is known as the “Tin Shed” and is a converted nissen hut. The dojo has a wooden floor and uses good quality tatami mats. There are toilets and a change area.

Annual membership is $3 per year.
Training fees are $3 per session.
An additional $40 for Juniors and $50 for seniors is required to enable grading and entry into competition should this be desired.
1. Make sure finger and toenails are kept short or taped
2. Do not wear jewellery e.g., earrings, watches, necklaces etc
3. Tie back long hair
