About me

I am a research scientist at DeepMind working on AI safety. I did my PhD in statistics and machine learning at Harvard on building interpretable models, and undergrad at the University of Toronto in math and statistics. I co-founded the Future of Life Institute, a non-profit organization working to mitigate technological risks to humanity and increase the chances of a positive outcome. I did a lot of math contests back in the day, and got a silver medal at the International Math Olympiad. (See CV and LinkedIn)

In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, blues and contra dancing, hiking and singing. My official name is Viktoriya, but I usually go by Victoria or Vika.
