Welcome

I am an evolutionary biologist, writer and academic consultant. I am primarily interested in obtaining a holistic understanding of the evolutionary history and diversification of bees, the most important pollinators of flowering plants. Although I have devoted most of my time to these areas, I have also been involved in other fields of research, including evolutionary ecology, behavioral ecology, pollination biology and ethnobiology. I actively participate in a number of academic activities as well as educational events that involve government and non-government organizations to educate the public about science and conservation of native pollinators. I conduct research in North, Central and South America, as well as in Turkey and Greece.
