I am a PhD candidate in Ecology and Evolution at University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC). My interests are in wildlife ecology, and mitigation of human-wildlife conflict. I am currently Adaptive Management Project Coordinator at the Chicago Botanic Garden, and was previously employed by Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, IL as their Coordinator of Wildlife Management, for three years. In this role, I coordinated the wildlife monitoring at a 14 acre wildlife habitat just south of the main zoo grounds, called Nature Boardwalk, formerly called South Pond.
I am also interested in developing systems to help managers make the best possible decisions regarding wildlife and land management. I have collaborated with representatives from the US Fish and Wildlife Service and USGS on these sorts of projects. I continue this type of work in my current position as Adaptive Management Project Coordinator at the Chicago Botanic Garden.
