Kartik Venkatraman
I am a faculty in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, in Bangalore, India.
My research and teaching interests are at the intersection of fluid dynamics and elastodynamics.
Computational aeroelasticity and fluid-solid interactions, unsteady fluid dynamics, flight dynamics of flexible flight vehicles, vibrations, and acoustics are some of the research areas in which I am interested.
I teach courses in aeroelasticity, vibration, flight dynamics of flexible flight vehicles, and fluid-elastic interactions.
Positions are available to support projects in computational aeroelasticity of flight vehicles. The candidates should have a BTech/MTech degree in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering. It is desirable that the candidate should have proficiency in computational mechanics tools such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, Fluent/CFX, SU2, etc.
