How to post a link in your signature:
1. Go to your bio page and highlight the URL. It's located in your browser and begins with http://. Right click it and click copy.
2. Go to the TinyURL Website and click paste in the empty box. Click enter. You now have a tinyurl that you will use later.
3. Go to a board room (your local, for example) and click the

icon.
4. At the bottom of the new page that opens, there is a box called Signature. You will use the blank space below that for the HTML code, detailed in the next steps.
3. Use this code, but change the items in green and delete the stars*:
<*a href="tinyurl">Click here for my bio!</a*>
4. Replace the word tinyurl with the tinyurl code you created in steps 1 and 2.
5. Replace the words Click here for my bio! with whatever you want people to see when you reply to a thread. These are the words that actually appear in your signature.

How to post a picture in your signature

(the picture must be found on the Internet or you must have it in a photo-sharing Website, like PhotoBucket, Flickr or Snapfish): (Don't use Shutterfly to host your pictures)

1. Find the photo you want to use and right click it. Click Properties.
2. Highlight the Address/URL (it begins with http://) and click copy.
3. Go to the TinyURL Website and click paste in the empty box. Click enter. You now have a tinyurl that you will use later.
4. Go to a board room (your local, for example) and click the

icon.
5. At the bottom of the new page that opens, there is a box called Signature. You will use the blank space below that for the HTML code, detailed in the next steps.
6. Use this code, but change the items in green and delete the stars*:
<*img src="tinyurl" width=250>
7. Replace the word tinyurl with the tinyurl code you created in steps 1, 2 and 3.
8. Replace the number 250 with any number up to 350. Anything over 350 means your sig is too big, thus annoying the crap out of everyone. 250 works just fine.

How to post a link in a thread (2 options):

2. Go to the TinyURL Website, right click the space in the empty box and click paste. Click enter.
3. Go to your desired Knot thread and use this code, changing the items in green and deleting the stars*:

4. Replace the word tinyurl with the tinyurl you created in steps 1 and 2.

6. Begin typing what you want to say about this link. YOU *usually* CANNOT TYPE BEFORE YOU PUT IN THIS CODE OR IT WILL NOT WORK. REMEMBER THIS. Typing must go AFTER the link code is posted.

How to post a picture in a thread (2 options):
FIRST OPTION - Good for those who are using Internet Explorer and are on a PC or Laptop with Internet Explorer. (Don't use Shutterfly to host pictures!)
1. Find the photo you want to use and right click it. Click Properties.
2. Highlight the Address/URL (it begins with http://) and click copy.
3. Go to the TinyURL Website and click paste in the empty box. Click enter.

4. Click on the link that says "open in a new window". Right click the image in the new window and click copy.
5. Go to your desired Knot thread, right click in the text area of your thread and click paste.
6. Click on the image and use the upper left corner 'box' to drag it inward and resize it to something normal.

SECOND OPTION - Good for those using Firefox or a Mac computer (Don't use Shutterfly to host pictures!)

1. Find the photo you want to use and right click it. Click Properties.
2. Highlight the Address/URL (it begins with http://) and click copy.
3. Go to the TinyURL Website and click paste in the empty box. Click enter.
4. Go to your Knot thread, and use this code. Remember to change the items in green and to delete the stars*:
[*img]tinyurl[/img*]
5. Replace the word tinyurl with the tinyurl code you created in steps 1, 2 and 3. Some MAC users may need to put a space on both sides of the tinyurl in between the brackets to get the image to appear, so if it's not working try it with spaces like this [*img] tinyurl [/img*]
5. Push enter.
6. Begin typing what you wish about the picture you just posted. YOU CANNOT TYPE BEFORE YOU PUT IN THIS CODE OR IT WILL NOT WORK. REMEMBER THIS. Typing must go AFTER the image code is posted.

Still Not Working?

1) Make sure your tiny url is UNBOLDED;

2) Sometimes Mac users need to use dwarfurl.com instead of tinyurl; and

3) Sometimes the Knot is just picky and you'll have to try again later.
