Exploring the History of Venice: Relics, Records, & Relations

Our team has contributed to historical research of the ancient city of Venice by shedding light on its intriguing past through means of:
  • Reconstructing a manuscript translation website, uScript, to promote its completion and use within the Venice State Archive (as seen in the Manuscripts section),
  • Designing two smartphone mobile applications which improve on-site archaeological data recording processes and display public archaeological site data (as seen in the Archaeology section),
  • Collecting and analyzing historical research regarding the ancient Venets and organizing a genetic genealogy study to prove their geographic origin of ancestry (as seen in the Genetic Genealogy section).
