From the National Council for Behavioral Health

Grow your organization professionally with 14 self-paced, online courses from BHbusiness. Take the opportunity to expand your capabilities without the expense of travel and hotels!

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) offers 14 self-paced, online business courses to behavioral health organizations and providers through BHbusiness. These courses are available at no cost. You can learn at your own pace while earning continuing education credits.

The 14 self-paced, online courses offered include:

§  Data Driven Decision Making: Behavioral health care organizations collect a lot of data but do not always effectively use this data to make informed business decisions. Integrating data into your decision-making process means learning how to accurately collect, catalog and communicate data. This course offers strategies for how to map out your data needs, create a data-driven culture and connect outcomes to organizational goals.

§  Effectively Marketing Your Services: Effective marketing helps to get new people to access your services, potential partners to understand what you do and community members to appreciate the value you bring to your region. This course explores the critical components of a marketing plan and offers strategies for conducting market research, building your own plan, communicating your value to your target audience and evaluating the success of your marketing efforts.

All courses are available at no cost. You can also earn continuing education credits from the Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) for completing any of the self-paced courses.
