A rather link filled, topic filled VBB. Not many direct coding examples but lots of great information.
Claudio shared a link to an article discussing thinking before starting to code http://www.makinggoodsoftware.com/2010/05/10/before-coding-think/
JB mentioned Grey Boxing as part of the design workflow and suggested it should just be a normal step in the process but gets overlooked.JB talked about some C# topics that came to mind after watching a presentation Uncle Bob around reducing cyclomatic complexity.
He showed some coding examples involving if...else and passing enumerations.
He then looked at NDepdend to analyze the cyclomatic complexity of his learning projects.
Claudio showed the analysis provided by CodeRush
Josh(?) brought up the Crap4N metric
JB brought up the following link showing some ways about reducing CC
and previewed the next podcasts with GBlock and his move to WCF and life after MEF and second part is about REST, etc.
and his blog post on reducing exception cases
JB shared a link to a video about leadership and mature teams by Roy Osherove and commented that it seemed a bit dry in delivery but was a very interesting topic.
JB also shared a problem he is having with TFS encoding changing on .cs files after he check them in and messing up comparing, etc. He asked if anyone had any ideas how to fix it or what to even check to start troubleshooting.
