Lucy Nguyen
Volunteered at VAT since 2003, served on the Executive Board of Directors and currently VAT Program Manager.  VAT holds a special place in my heart as I see the difference we are able to make in the lives of immigrants looking for a second home in Canada.
Throughout my years being a member of VAT, I have seen it develop into a prominent community organization with the intricate collaboration between young and old generations.  As such, VAT has become an agent of change, positively influencing future generations.  This is why the gala and youth camp are so important; we are able to contribute to the development of VAT and more importantly, the Vietnamese Community.

Le Luong

For more than a decade, Le Luong has worked in the education industry in Administration Management, and has helped hundreds of families and students realize their full potential.  Her career in education has influenced her belief that all students are capable, and if given the opportunity and challenge, they will achieve their goals.  Le recently launched GOALS Services, which provides academic liaison and settlement services to international students and families.

Le was inspired by the VAT Board Members and the mission of the First Step Camp to join the VIVA Gala Organizing Committee.  The camp’s mission is aligned with her life philosophy “Success is the maximum utilization of the ability that you have” by Zig Ziglar.  The First Step Camp provides opportunities for students to explore self-discovery, network, and receive academic consultation, which are the first steps in helping them achieve their life goals.
