Supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, the 2025 İzmir New Days Festival, organized by Füsun Koksal, featured a workshop residency led by composer Vassos Nicolaou in collaboration with ensemble [hand werk]. Nicolaou worked closely with emerging composers, guiding them in the development of their works. His new ensemble piece, Eiron, premiered at the festival on October 12, 2025.

February 2025: Vassos Nicolaou is appointed Professor of Composition at the Joseph Haydn Privathochschule Eisenstadt in Austria. On May 9, the Orchestra of the Musikhochschule performed Stretti at the Kultur Kongress Zentrum under the direction of Ola Rudner.
