Vasso Ioannidou is a Professor of Finance at Lancaster University and CEPR research fellow in financial economics. Prior to joining Lancaster in 2013, Vasso was a Professor of Finance at Tilburg University in the Netherlands.

Vasso has an interest in financial intermediation and corporate finance. Her current and past work covers topics related to monetary policy and financial stability, prudential bank regulation and supervision, and asymmetric information frictions in credit markets.

She has published in leading finance and management journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and Management Science. She currently serves as an associate editor of the Journal of Banking and Finance.

She earned a masters degree and a doctorate in Economics from Boston College.
