Actively looking for data scientist/ research scientist opportunities.

I was a PhD candidate at the Department of Geology and Geophysics at Yale University, New Haven from May 2014 - Aug 2019 and submitted my thesis in Jul 2019. I worked with Prof. William Boos on different aspects of tropical climate and atmospheric convection, with a specific interest in large scale dynamics of tropical cyclone formation and extreme precipitation systems. To this end, I used idealized numerical and analytical models, and apply time series and statistical analysis to isolate and understand essential physical processes. Details about my projects and publications can be found here.

I have a M.Phil degree from Department of Geology and Geophysics, Yale University, New Haven, a M.Tech degree in Climate Science from Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (CAOS), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and a bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PESIT, Bangalore. I previously worked at Cisco Systems, Bangalore as a Software Engineer for 3 years and as a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
